Drip-proof in the waterproof grade means that the product used outdoors can be used normally in an environment of rain and dripping, and the product shell can prevent rain from entering.
There are two descriptions of waterproof grade drip-proof in the national standard, one is IPX1 and the other is IPX2.
Waterproof grade IPX1: Prevent vertical dripping, and vertical dripping should have no harmful effects.
Waterproof grade IPX2: Prevent vertical dripping when the product shell is tilted at 15°, and vertical dripping has no harmful effects when the vertical surfaces of the product shell are tilted at 15°.
So how to conduct the drip-proof test?
Waterproof level IPX1: Place the product shell on the sample turntable, the turntable is in a horizontal position, the eccentricity (the distance between the turntable axis and the sample axis) is about 100mm, the top of the shell is 200mm away from the drip plate, the turntable is set to a speed of 1r/min, and the test duration is 10min.
Waterproof level IPX2: Place the product shell on the sample turntable that has been tilted 15°, the eccentricity (the distance between the turntable axis and the sample axis) is about 100mm, the highest top of the shell is 200mm away from the drip plate, and the test is carried out in four directions. The test duration in each direction is 2.5min, for a total of 10min.
